Welcome to Powder Branch Farm

In October 2025, a new chapter began when the Bob Brown House opened its third location — Powder Branch Farm. Located in Mount Sterling, the farm is home to a group of incredible residents. Each of them arrived with their own story, their own personality, and their own path that led them here. What they now share is something special: a place where they are valued, supported, and surrounded by people who care.

Powder Branch Farm is managed by Katie and her fiancé, Aaron, who live on site and share daily life with the residents. Together, they prepare three meals a day, celebrate milestones, and live every day to the fullest. Life here is not just about having a roof overhead — it's about community, laughter, and belonging.

What the Farm Means

A season full of meaningful moments

Since opening, Powder Branch Farm has already experienced a season full of meaningful moments together. Our first Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's and Valentine's Day were all celebrated around the same table — with full plates, laughter, and a lot of gratitude.

In just a few short months, Powder Branch Farm has become something special. It's morning coffee in the kitchen. It's sharing meals three times a day. It's conversations that stretch long after dinner plates are cleared. It's residents who feel safe, valued, and proud of the place they call home.

Most of all, it's proof that the mission started over 50 years ago is still alive and growing. In fact, plans are already being made to build our next building on Powder Branch Farm that will house an additional 12–16 more people in need.

Powder Branch Farm may be our newest addition, but the heart behind it is the same one Rev. Bob W. Brown had when he first imagined a home where people could live with dignity, independence, and love. That vision continues — one meal, one laugh, one resident at a time.
